Bengali American Boldest Association (BABA)
Dear Members and Supporters of the Bengali American Boldest Association (BABA),
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who have supported our noble cause since our inception on October 31, 2021. Your unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in our journey, leading us to be officially registered with the NYS Incorporation on October 24, 2022, and subsequently receiving departmental approval from the NYC Department of Corrections as a fraternal organization on November 20, 2023.
BABA was formed with the vision to support both uniformed and non-uniformed, active or retired members of the NYC Department of Correction. Our mission is to empower, educate, and reinforce their understanding of the department’s rules and regulations, and to keep them abreast with the newly accepted practices and procedures.
We are also committed to recruiting more Bengali Americans into law enforcement, assisting our fellow members in achieving their professional goals, and extending a helping hand in times of need. Our association is dedicated to working with other Bengali American city officials who are committed to serving the Bengali community and playing a significant role in the USA.
I am truly humbled by the unity, camaraderie, and the spirit of helping each other that our members have shown, especially in times of emergency. It is an honor to serve as the President of this unique and strong family within the NYC Department of Correction.
As we move forward, I want to assure you that BABA will continue to uphold its commitment to our members and the community. We are here to support, guide, and stand by you in your journey.
Thank you once again for your continued support and belief in our mission. Together, we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Mohammed A Rahman
