OUR MISSION

Bengali American Boldest Association (BABA is a Nonprofit Organization founded by a group of Bengali speaking officers in NYC Department of Correction on Sunday October 31st, 2021 and register with NYS incorporation on October 24,2022. Bengali speaking people also called Bengali nations. Bengali is the official and international Mother language of Southeast Asia, (Bengali: are Americans of Bengali ethnic, cultural and linguistic heritage and identity. They trace their ancestry to the historic ethnolinguistic region of Bengal in South Asia (now divided between Bangladesh and India and Nepal ). Bengali is the Official language of the Bangladesh, and Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura, and the Barak valley region of the state of Assam…

So We decided to form this a society to share common interests, committed to empowering, supporting, educating and development of its members, whilst assisting and communicating with geniality towards the community.

The mission of the Bengali American Boldest Society (BABA) has been formed to support uniform and non-uniform, active or retired members of service of the NYC Department Of Correction by working together to empower, educate and reinforce their knowledge of the department’s rules and regulations. Ensuring that we familiarize our members with newly accepted practice and procedures of the Department. In addition, the association will be able to help recruit more Bengali American into Law enforcement. Assist fellow members of the service attain their professional goals and be a helping hand in the time of needs.At a glance:

*To unite and foster camaraderie among all Correctional Employee and Civilians of Bengali Heritage.

*To create a platform that bridges the gap between the gap Bengali American Community and united states of America Correctional and sheriff system by inspiring reform.

*To provide members educational resources and support newly join officer to work in
the department safely and more confidently.

*To arrange a job seminar to recruit more Bengali and other community into the Correction department.

*To aid fellow members and their families provide with assistance in their times of need.

*Educational support for officer’s dependent and family members by arranging training and other necessary support, prepare them for competitive corporate world and getting higher education.

*To establish bond among present and former correction officers.

*To establish inter service relationship among all city employees and organizations. United we is our main slogan.
